When I go out to bars or clubs there are always girls who show attraction towards me. they sit next to me, blatantly rub up against me, make eye contact, smile at me, introduce themselves multiple times to me over the course of the night to which i introduce myself back.. and proceed with no further discussion. They make it clear they want me to talk to them but I can always find reasons not to no matter what the situation. I'm very unsure of myself when meeting new people.

When i was in school i was pretty ugly and quiet so i was picked on for no reason alot. This meant I was bought up believing that looks mean everything and people will only like you if you're good looking. I'm a good looking guy now and most girls will show me signs of initial physical attraction, but i have trouble taking it any further. I know there are success stories out there who started out much more pathetic than myself, so I do feel there is hope for me.

I don't necessarily want to pick up every woman I talk to, but I want to be familiar with females and how they think. I've read a lot about it but have trouble putting it into play. My confidence is growing in talking to people in general, but when it comes to dating I still have some sort of mental block that's keeping me from showing my personality to girls. Can anyone help me?
