So I started a new job recently... and there is this absolutely gorgeous girl there, prettiest i've seen in awhile, and all i've managed is a "hi"....

Now i'm a good looking guy, and she's given me a few hair tosses and smiles, but holy shit i'm getting the worst case of nerves ever when trying to put my game on. Usually I don't have too many problems with approach anxiety... but man.

I know I need to act fast, and I should just be thinking of her as any regular person but its still hard, any tips for beating back the PU-anxiety?

focus on her flaws! everyone has flaws, when you talk to her just look at her imperfections, don't mention them for the love of god!

It just makes it easier when you realize that she is not the perfect woman, she is a person like anyone else.

I agree with the answer above.

The point is indeed to realise she is just a person. U can go looking for inperfections, that works like a charm. Dont forget to also look for any clumsy behavior, from personal experience i can tell u nothing levels the playing field more than to see a beautifull girl failing to operate a microwave oven , or stapeling a bunch of documents to her sleeve.

Another thing , be aware of her flaws ... but for gods sake DONT stare at them.

Slywalker on the ball as usual.

I switch mindsets sometimes; you are wanting to talk to her with an agenda in mind. try to remove it.
so just talk, you got to go through comfort building anyway so do it, then switch once thats done :)

Think of it this way, I remember Dave Mustaine (Megadeth singer for those not in the know. :P ) made a quote once:

"No matter how beautiful a woman is she still needs to take a shit sometimes"

Now may sound irrelevant but think about it in the context of her just being a normal person and hopefully it should mean she isn't quite so important in your mind and you can treat her just like another person.

One way to lose nerves is physical exercise like the gym or jogging. It may sound weird but just try it out. You will notice how much more relaxed you are after exercise. I think that the reason is that when you exercise your brain starts producing serotonine which makes you happy and relaxed.
