Before the show aired I used several different openers. Some times they set would say that sounds like something out of a movie. Or I have heard something like this before. But they never identified it as being an opener. I would have to agree with Meth. It is the structure behind everything that matters.

Only once, and that was two minutes into the conversation. I was genius enough to spin it my way:

HB9: Hey, wasn't that like a line from like a movie?
White Rose: Yeah, those movie directors don't stop stealing my lines, it drives me crazy.

I then turned the entire discussion to the movie business and how they keep ripping off my ideas. K-close, btw. You have my permission to use that line when a girl is being bitch enough to try to call your game because of the media.

before the show i mainly used openers and game directly from the book. after the show began showing i had to change my game up a bit. at a bar in chicago, i opened to a two set a direct line, and about 2 minutes into the conversation one of the girls said, what do you think you are mystery or someting?

i did not even know how to respond. im guessing that the girls watch it weekly and caught one of my lines.

i just responded with whats mystery, but in hindsight, i should have said something like, yeah, i tought him a thing or two.

After I F-closed this HB8 she told me her younger brother was having trouble with meeting new women (really sad story..) While we were still in bed, I put on Mystery's show and told her to tell her brother.

She didn't even make the connection.

I got sort of caught last sat. I wasn't even using anything canned or anything. This one girl I had talked to earlier passed by me and was eating some candy.

Me: What you eating there? ( not a opener or routine, just simple conv.)

HB: (pulled away the bag as if I was trying to steal them) nothing!

Me: (just stared into her eyes with a cocky grin until she responded)

HB: candy

Me (sarcastically) Candy! Never heard of it!

She later told me not to be an asshole and that she knew I was a PUA because of the show and cause her guy friends told her (I only know one of them who also beginning to PU and I doubt he would have told her).
So I totally ignored the friend part but acknowledge that I did know of the show and had watched it a few times. But turn around conversation saying I didn't know that asking what someone was eating was an opener or a way 'to pick up chicks', and asked her if she used to fall for all the time back in the day.

later in conversation she started giving me IoI's, but I pulled out cause I found out she was getting married. (she had big engagement ring and she also told me).

its like Methusela said... u should try and mimic and infuse your own individuality into your pick-ups so it shouldnt be a prob ya?
