Another post for a different topic.

I have a bad case of oneitis ( 2 year LTR, 3 weeks since the breakup) and need asssitance but wanted to know if I need professional help?

Got some weird anxiety like being punched in the guts repeatedly and this is a similar thing in my head..need at minimum meditation/hypnosis mp3's to sleep at night even if I am dead tired.

This as you might imagine is not comfortable or is it tolerable long term but it's sort of preventing me from going out and meeting other women as they sure as hell will pick up on this as it's gotta be coming through subconsciously in a big way.

I'm getting out there , moved into my new place, mixing it up doing new things, keeping busy but still it's there and I'm over it.

Is there a way to effectively erase/remove/re-frame mental attachments to a person like int time line theraphy? Am I just being impatient and need more time to sort this shit out?

Sick of being a pussy so help a brother out.

give yourself time....a lot of people now days do go for one or two sessions with a psychologist simply to vent and talk about their shit. nothing to be ashamed of.

other than that...as you say keep yourself busy, hang out with your mates. it will take time, there is no magic formula.

feels like you'll never get over her right? well you will, and guess why? because we are designed this way. it is inevitable.

all the best

Thanks as it does seem that way I had a counsellor before to help with the above issues but unfortunately I sought help way too late.

Looks like I perhaps should give him a call rather than posting this in the forum but ironically I can't really speak to my mates about this, it's easier talking to anonymous people sometimes as they are completely objective.

I know that I will get over it as I have done so in the past and couldn't give a toss whether my old girlfriends were alive or dead but this seems worse for some reason.

Thanks again..

Not really...One of them has his own problems wih his woman so I don't want to pile on and the other "Doesn't want to encourage my emo behaviour"

The others I wouldn't talk to them about it.
