while girls would be spurred into fighting for the mans attention, guys would instead go do something else to get back at her/ prove himself like find a hot chick to make out with, which doesn't return attraction towards the original girl.

WOW thanks guys. Haha well to be honest, I am pretty to those of you who seem to be doubting it. I have never had any problems attracting guys with just being myself.

The way I got my current boyfriend was by sending him IOIs and playing hard to get so yeh obviously that works.

It depends how one defines winning. For men, getting a girl in bed may be victory. For most women, that is a no brainer. Like you wrote, "Hey, let's screw," is often enough, especially if the lady has good looks.
For women, probably the issue is getting a guy into an LTR. PUAs have techniques that make the target think a lot about you, want to be you, pine for you, etc. Cat String Theory does this to a small degree.

In my life, I have met two women who were naturals at this. They would have several guys who were completely obsessed, completely mindfucked. These girls were super-confident, super alpha, knew how to give attention, freeze-out, neg and everything so that guys were just driven nuts wanting them.
