So on my first day of class I notice this flamboyant red head sitting in the front row
of the auditorium. I don't pay much attention to her throughout the class but as it ends and she walks to the back in order to exit I notice her looking at me and we lock eyes. Now I know the three second rule if you don't engage the girl within three seconds, time is up. The thing is, as I left class and went to have supper with a friend I see her through the window walking down the street, and again a few minutes later walking the other way facing my way. She looked at me even though i completely ignored her and decides with her friend to enter the restaurant we were in. So, it was already clear to me that she had an eye on me. As I leave maybe ten minutes after she enters we lock eyes again, and I wasn't ready to lose my chance a second time.
I had to test, experiment. I walk up to her and her friend and start commenting on how we are in the same class and they were the two red dots in the front row (I mostly ignore the girl and try to concentrate on her friend). They laugh and we then have a conversation on how the teacher was absent for no specific reason. as the conversation ends and I stop joking around the friend asks my name and gives hers.The girl I was ignoring (as I turn to her) gives me hers. Then i just blocked, I knew I could of said some cocky comment on how "I hadn't asked for her name but if she insisted.." but all i could say was I'll see you both monday and left as they smiled at me... Now my question is, should i have "negged" her in order for her to feel the attraction towards me or did that still happen, cuz the way it seemed was more that her friend seemed interested in me...

Zero, in my opinion you did well. You've opened the set, you've built attraction (eventho i believe that it has been there before you've even had your mouth open;)
The 3 seconds rule works in case you have an anxiety problem. When not following that 'rule' you have the time to use the goods from a simple cold reading. Also negs are not always necessary, i believe that being cocky funny works way better.

I agree with Jezabel. Negs are not necessary. Especialy in day game. If you don't know how to use them or how to gage your target's confidence level, a neg can create all the wrong impressions.

Now that being said, I'm a fan of teasing/ball busting/cocky funny. Neg, not so much.

All you have to do now is just be normal, next time your in class, just be like hey, how are my two little amigos, whatever you been doing this weekend? keep up the energy with the girl you like, and pull her away asap! Make a mini adventure to the canteen, and make her your sidekick food and drink holder or something

She likes you, its very evident. And her friend already approves of you!
