Ok, yesterday and today I did this same opener and I don't think it's working.

me: can i get a girls opinion on something
girl: ok
me: a friend of mine has been talking to this girl online and they get along, but she doesn't have a picture
girl: uh huh
me: should he go see her
girl: no unless he's desparate
me: would you go see someone in that situation
girl: I'm not desparate
.. another couple of line gets exchanged....
.. exchange names....

and it's gone!

Your opinion opener is lacking something very fundamental. Women's opinions on this subject will not be much different from a man's. Just modify the opener to something where being a woman would change the outcome more such as:

"My friend met this girl online and he has been talking to her for a couple of months now. They get along amazingly well and he thinks he has feelings for her but he is having problems rationalizing how he can have feelings for someone he has never actually met. So, I told him that he should go meet her to find out. He thinks that he shouldn't because she might not like him anymore if they meet. Do you think he should take the chance and meet her?"

You can shorten that as you like but remember, YOU don't want it to be about looks! Instead, you want it to be about your friends feelings and a woman's thought process (feelings over looks ect..). This way you can really hook her and you have a lot of things to work off of.



HOWEVER,

You should remember to work on situation openers as they have a much higher success rate than canned material. (Especially opening. It doesn't matter what you say as much as how you say it and what you follow it up with.)

thanks for the advice, yeah "looks" thing together with sorta the desparate thing meeting ppl on the internet just brings a bad connotation.

But bring out feelings, and that whole, taking a risk even if it may ruin what they have... is a subject matter girls just love.

Yeah I'm also seeing that canned openers just don't compare with a situationals. I'll go as far as start calling the canned openers PLAN B, and should be used only if you don't got an original situational opener.

Dont ask her if you can ask for her opinion. Say you need her opinion and dont give her a chance to say no. I personally would not use this opener. It seems a bit creepy to ask in my opinion.

I don't know about creepy... but it isn't that interesting... It is a bit strange, though...

Field test it more and let us know.

scratch it.. it's too long and would take too much refining and would generally work on the more disparate girls. You can spend less time and make a shorter more successful one
