...been seeing this girl for about 3 weeks...i have her chasing me, she is always the first to initiate contact, but she never phones, only texts. Im not one for talking for hours on the phone but if i feel like a quick chat I will phone a girl up out of the blue spur of the moment and to tell her something cool/interesting....i then wont contact her at all trying to drop a hint that she can call me next time...she doesnt get it, she starts up contact again with a bloody text message, every time. I know I sound picky here but I dont see why I should be the only one phoning. Text messaging can drive me up the wall....I prefer a quick phone call.

How would you get her to phone you without sounding like youre whining about it....

I think you should just be direct and tell her "give me a call". Then don't reply to her text messages at all. Time may pass before she gets the hint that she should call you but you are showing your willingness to walk away if she doesn't want to play by your rules. Eventually, if she still desires you, she will call.

call her, often.. maybe everyday or two.. quik convo u know.. every day at about the same time. It wont be long before she's used to talking to you on the phone. and thats when u stop calling her! Blam! like a drout! from that point on, she'll call u

i like luckys advice. its a good way to go about it if she doesnt call you yet.
just make u calling is like no big deal at all to you. and make sure u have something good to say, good dhv story. and have a false time constraint each time.

u control the convo n leave her hanging wantin more. n i wouldnt push the convo over 5-10 mins depending on how close u 2 are. after a few days just freeze her out out of nowhere... shell prolly call u.

You're the man, you're supposed to make effort in making things happen. and with making things happen im not referring to making her call you. It's a stupid idea imo

Why dont you just tell her that you are really not into texting? U can always explain that by saying that its too impersonal in ur opinion or u just dont have the time and the nurves to text, thats why u prefer callin.
Just dont make a big deal out of it ...theres not so much to be analyzed here.

Jav, i dont think you would want to be the only one doing the calling surely?...at some point she needs to start calling you too. if youre the only one doing the calling then a bad habit forms and she will start expecting this of you....you dont want this....hence i want to change this around asap so its a 2 way thing. INITIALLY I agree that the guy needs to be assertive and do the calling in order to arrange the first few meetings etc. but we are close enough for her to call me.
