Ok so I've been experimenting a bit, and a couple of questions rose. I know that most of the times being indirect is very useful to build comfort, however I met this girl a couple of weeks ago, and setting up a day 2 was hard for me always being indirect. We stopped chatting and a week ltr she msged out of the blue. Took it as an IOI and a couple of days ltr I started a convo, and went direct and asked her to meet up. She took it.

Should you start being direct when you get IOI's? I never know when I should be direct in attraction situations.

The fact that you are asking her out on a date IS direct as it is. Do you really think that she thinks that you just want to be 'friends' by asking her out? She knows what you want. (unless youre gay and looking for another 'girl' friend)

Indirect is normally only done initially when opening to lower chances of rejection. It helps get your foot in the door.

So ye be direct, ie. flirt with her, tease her etc. how else are you going to convey that you want to be 'more than friends'? Just do not TELL her you like her directly, and do not be needy. Be direct, but be a challenge at the same time.
