so I've got this chick thats in two of my classes and I've noticed that shes pretty shy and that makes her pretty difficult to talk to.
We've had a few conversations because she sits next to me sometimes, but its extremely hard having a conversation with her because she doesn't really say much.

Although I have noticed that she's shy with other people as well, could it just be that she isnt that interested?

Also, I'm not great at conversation, but its normally ok because the other person participates a little more. Any ideas to cut down on lulls in conversation? She sat next to me in class the other day and the teacher took an hour and a half trying to set up some movie, so we had that time to talk, and probably got about 10 sentences in.

Hypothesis 1:
-She is shy. How do you know that? Look at her bodylanguage. Find out about it. For instance, if she is fidgeting or scratching her head all the time (well, I hope she doesnt have mites) she is nervous, really.

Hypothesis 2:
-She doesnt want to talk. She is cool with the environment, doesnt probably care about school or anything else (or then just you).

Nobody can say what it is about, if you dont see it with your own eyes

Now, what you need to do is ask questions that she cant answer with one word. But if she answer always like "I dont know", forgot her and TEASE her about that, which is your last chance then.

What you need to do is make her giggle. I like to make eye contact with girls in my classroom and hold it, while squinting your eyes, in a playful seductive way with a sly smile. If you do it with confidence, she will smile back and break eye contact. I also like to do the heart with my hands while she's looking, and then point at her, but in a really cheesy way so she knows I'm kidding, she will always giggle. When she is walking by you get in front of her, and make a seductive smile, she will hit you you, and smile. If you do all these things during class, she will want to talk to you, even the really shy one. Generally really shy girls aren't cold like that. They will blush, avert eye contact, and giggle when you talk to them. When you talk to her make sure it's something funny and interesting. Don't ask questions like whats your next period, whats your major, do you like this class etc etc. I like to say stuff like don't copy off my paper, you're not getting a free ride to harvard from me. Good Luck Brother.
