| Having nothing better to do on a sunday after a night of clubbing and sarging I sat down and watched pick up videos on youtube.
And I realized something interesting, most good Pick up artists evolve in similar stages.
From hopeless AFC to RAFC who could pull a few useful lines and actually dared to approach, and then to different stages of being a PUA, usually following gurus, Mystery, Swingcat, David X, Ross Jeffries and so on. Until he is good enough to formulate his on method of seduction, his own tactics and become a guru himself.
And commonly in the end, he is completely changed, the original AFC is dead and gone.
Now personally I didn't really take this path, and I have not reached the goal yet, but this is the stereotypical PUA journey, or success story if you prefer that.
This is the path that was taken by Neil Strauss in his book "the Game" but what I found interesting is that even though so many admire him so much, I have even heard people call him a "god amongst men" he never really evolved.
At this point I'm sure most of you don't agree with me but check this out.
He started as nothing, Mystery taught him to approach and open, pull routines etc. Ross Jeffries and Rasputin showed him the "dark side" of pick up, David X taught him about honesty, David DeAngelo about Cocky funny, he had hundreds of success stories and taught many seminars.. the list goes on.
So here is where I wonder what happened, in the end of the Game, before the fall of Project Hollywood, he described groups of new aspiring PUAs hitting the streets of Hollywood, pulling his lines, and he told the story when he was out one night and every girl he talked to had heard all his routines and he couldn't win a target that night.
Every successful PUA I talk to on this forum have completely evolved away from trained routines, they make up their own stuff and often on the spot. Isn't it at least a little strange that Neil Strauss wasn't better than this by now? Or was his success due to traveling around so much so he could use the same stuff over and over? Did he retire from the community just in time before anyone called him out for it?
I also saw an older online interview with him today, it was recorded a while after he had published the Game, and they asked him to show some stuff he would use to pick up girls and he demonstrates the most basic RAFC stuff. Whats up with that?
And when he talks, he doesn't sound convincing at all, he still sounds like a sexually confused elf from a disney movie. What happened to all the voice lessons he sad he took?
I also saw TV interviews with Mystery, now through the years he has evolved from a clever dungeon master to a charming and smart MPUA who seem to know everything about the community there is to know.
Neil Strauss was or is an exellent pick up artist, don't get me wrong, I still admire the man. But, Did he really evolve through those two years he spend in the community?
Whas your oppinion about Neils journey and PUA evolution in general? _________________ .............
