My brother has been having a lot of luck with picking people up on dating sites. He claims it is extremely easy. He is what you'd call a natural. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else has tried these sites. In theory it should be rather easy. It would do away with approach anxiety and give you time to come up with quality responses. I think it would be good practice for actually going out. Not to mention at some point you will still have to meet these people and pull out the 'A' game. So I was wondering, would an opener be the same for an online site as it would be in person. I would find it more difficult. You can't pick out environmental things to talk about, and negs would be more difficult. I guess there is always the pictures. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the site. After reading the info I don't think I'll be trying this. Though it is good practice I can spend the time in a real world environment doing the same thing. Even if its a failed attempt, that would benefit me more than maybe meeting someone some day. I could talk to 100 people on the street and get a lot further than talking to 100 people online. This site is really starting to open my eyes. All I need to work on is keeping the conversation going. Any suggestions on that?

I would suggest you go to Xmans blog for some basics OR go to the newbie section and check out the "stickie" there. It will tell you alot and you will be able to understand what all this means and how to use it.

I've always found text messaging, e-mails, and online chats to be very impersonal. A whole LOT can be said about tone and linguistics. Online chatting makes it nearly impossible for Kino, so why cut out all your routes by limiting yourself to a keyboard and mouse?
