| Hi all!
Early last week, I had dinner with a girl friend and her friend, Jenny. It was a very normal dinner with very normal conversations. My girl friend invited me to a club Thursday night and I saw Jenny there again. I thought things went well between us and she was showing IOIs. The only problem was I didn't get to talk to her more than 20 minutes because I was there with some other friends (guys and girls) who I had to tend to. I never got Jenny's number, but I knew she had Facebook.
The next day (Friday) after work, I added her on Facebook. Within an hour, she accepted.
The next day (Saturday) afternoon, I sent her this message:
hey korean girl, how was your first vaccine injection on your guinea pig patient while you were hungover? fast or slow? man, i wouldn't want to be him haha. so when do i get my free korean bbq dinner? i'm not going to forget your promise!
Her response within one hour:
dude im not korean! i'm chinese just like you! hahaa.. it went okay.. i just wanted to get it over with. my partner on the other hand, man handled me.. that prick. anyways.. why did i promise you korean bbq again? I thought you just happened to smell like it.. ahhh i don't remember! haha.
My response five hours later:
come on, "___ is a korean last name." :p who was your partner? that guy Brad? do you have a big fat ugly bruise on your arm? omg you're such an indian giver. you can't just promise and then take it back haha. okok i know you're poor. how about i pay for the bbq and you get the drinks afterwards... see how nice i am? :p oh, my friends are rolling out to a club tonight. you should come. feel free to invite your friends... i asked our friend, but apparently she doesn't feel too good. text me [my phone number]. OH OH OHH, it just crossed my mind why you hate korean. a korean ex-bf must have broke your heart muahahaha.
Her response two hours later:
___ is like ___ and ___... it's chineseeeeeeee. haha.. nooo.. i don't hate koreans.. no guy's ever broken up with me.. nor have a dated a korean! i really don't remember why i said i owed you food, so if you explain to me, maybe just maybe i will buy you food. coz food is cheaper than alcohol ;p and no clubbing tonight for me. i'm sick too.. and my parents are in town! but have fun!!
So the next day (Sunday) in the early evening, I write:
uggghhh i'm clubbed out for the weekend. u're sick too? wat kind of germs are u girls passing to each other? :p ahhh mommy and daddy are visiting their baby girl all the way from [other country]... how cute. r they telling u to do dis and dat? how long r they in town for? u owe me food cuz u love me sooooooo much and u wouldn't want me to starve. :p plus, u said u're going to show me the tastiest korean restaurant. i'm working overnight thurs, but how bout friday? get well soon!
Then NOTHING. It's now Thursday and I haven't heard a peep. Where did I go wrong? Should I have never started a conversation on Facebook? Should I have moved the conversation to another platform quicker? Was I too nice? Is she too sick to reply? Is our mutual friend an obstacle?
Most importantly, WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP?
Any constructive criticism or advice would be appreciated. As you can tell, I'm new to the forum and new to PUA in general. I have read a little PUA content online here and there.
Btw, if anyone is interested in sarging, particularly at Asian clubs, I'd be interested. Thanks!
James
