^What's so wrong with being "insecure"? You can write what ever the hell you want on an anonymous forum but you should consider meditating a little more on the social engagement you mentioned in your initial post.

Go to ANY high school, anywhere in the World and you will find insecure little kids taunting little girls that they like. If SO MANY people do it, there's got to be something natural about it. That bit of "insecure" feeling is something that everybody has inside them. NOBODY knows the future. Nobody knows how things will play out. So unless you acknowledge that INSECURITIES EXIST, there is no WAY to overcome it. Unless you acknowledge it, you will continue to let it run your life.

You wrote that you just responded in a way that you thought was "right". What exactly do you think is the "source" of that thought? You seem to understand that no reputable author/book will advocate playground taunts and referring to a girl's menstrual cycle in a group setting. Yet, you happen to think that this was the right thing to do at the time. (For what? To gain her attraction?) Many, many young guys fall to insulting girls that they like. If insecurities didn't drive you to insult her, you'd be an anomaly.

You don't need to look any further than this forum to find insecure kids proclaiming that their "Yo mama jokes" and other playground idiocies are their "game". This is a joke . . . but it's not funny at all. These kids will grow up to continue to paint abrasive, anti-social acts on to the World.

You seem to understand a bit about this game. At this point, you should consider preparing a strategy prior to social situations . . . and then STICK TO IT. Regardless of what you say or think now, somebody will always manage to push a button that makes you want to swerve back to your old habitual patterns. Stand strong and stick with what you KNOW works.

Allright, Kasabi, thank you for the tips.

My plan was going with DDA's "Cocky Funny". I just didnt realize that what i said was way out of line and inappropriate in the social setting i was in, and to the girl, this wouldnt be funny at all.

And youre right. Maybe i was being insecure, because if i would have been secure, i would know what to do, and i wouldnt be posting here either. I just guess i just dont fully realize what meaning that word contains.

Thank you again for such a constructive answer.
