So I go to college and we start back soon so I've been looking for some fresh clothes. I know peacocking is a controversial thing but I was wondering if any people had advice for "peacocking" at college. No I don't want to walk around looking like fucking Mystery with all types of crazy shit covering me. But it seems like it is a good idea to somehow stand out among a lot of the boring college wear. However, stuff at the normal mall never seems to cut it, maybe I just don't have my own person style down or what. Anyway if people have advice for good clothes for college or places to get them...or if you guys think it doesn't matter. thanks for the advice

You're right.. you dont wanna be wearing top hats and shit like mystery lol .. that's just wierd! At college you dont really need to peacock as such .. College is all about your social circle.. the guys and girls you hang out with and preselection! But style is important! You can't go around wearing dorky oversized polo shirts from k-mart or whatever the cheapo stores are where you live .. (im in australia so i wouldn't know )

But i recommend you wear some jewellery!..

Necklaces.. Preferably something different.. not your usual, dragon or initial or something.. Something different .. I've got a friend who gets a chain and puts some cheap rings through it and girls them to girls to "look after for a while"

Bracelets are a good idea too! The manly kind ofcourse! lol. Girls always point out when im wearing a new braclet or necklace.

Buy yourself a watch.. There's some really good ones out there.. a little expensive but watches are an awesome accessory and well worth the investment. They show you're sophisticated and have style.

Most important.. Watch what you wear! You dont want oversized shirts .. Go to a good men's clothing store and get them to fit you in some nice clothes!

Unfortunately i can't really tell you what stores to shop at cause im in australia and we got different clothing stores.. I'm sure the guys here will point in the right direction for good clothes

I found when i was in college you dont need to stand out with peacocking as such though .. it's more about social value and your group of friends! That's just how it is..

But yeah I could never go as far as Mystery even in the 'real world', but as is often emphasized, you gotta go with what you feel comfortable with.
