I was browsing the forums and I see the concept of boyfriend killers mentioned but I don't see anywhere where the concept is explained more in depth and examples are given. What sub-forum should I be looking in and is there a thread on here with an in depth discussion of the concept or a list of examples? Thanks.

If a girl tells you she has a boyfriend, you could tell her: "Oh really ? Well congratulations. You must be really happy to have finally found someone. Who would have thought you would ever find a guy so desperate to date you ?" (I never used this but I read about this one, though I have to admit that this version might be a bit stronger than the original version but you got the point )

Another thing you could say is: "That is great. So he can make our breakfast in the morning and get our mail from the mailbox. First, I had my doubts about you but now you are so in. "

If you are attractive enough she will "forget" about her bf. The question you should be asking is, do you want to steal another mans gf?

But another reason you don't see an explanation of boyfriend destroyers is because, sometimes but not always, they are referring to a forbidden pattern, and therefore are not allowed to go into explanation about it on this forum.

Ugh, that "congratulations" thing is awful. Probably one of the worst things you could ever say in response to "i have a boyfriend." The second one aint much better.

The BF line is simply an IOD. Treat it as such.

Totally agree. It is a childish way of getting back at her for hurting your fragile ego. Come on you know better than that!

NEVER and I mean NEVER EVER EVER use a boyfriend killer. It is simple if you are better than the boyfriend you will win her over, if you aren't then leave it be you've been beaten move on and get over it. If you are weak enough to use a boyfriend killer you will probably lose the girl, she clearly likes and is attracted to the guy so insulting him is like insulting her at too deep a level. Just be yourself and be good at it.

Well I agree that boyfriend destroyers are immoral and wrong, but I don't think you know what a boyfriend destroyer is. Boyfriend destroyers are not insults toward boyfriends, they are subtle re-framing techniques that show the weaknesses and neediness of the boyfriend in an amplified way, and thus makes him seem less attractive in the girlfriends eyes. Although I think this is very wrong to do and should never be done, I also know that it does work in the sense that it weakens attraction toward the boyfriend, but it doesn't build attraction toward you at all. If you couldn't win her over to begin with, destroying her attraction toward her boyfriend will be a moot point because you still need to attract her to you, and if you are going to spend that kind of energy on her you might as well just focus that energy toward a single woman.

Often if a girl is really into you, she won't mention her boyfriend.

So when she tells you about her boyfriend, especially if that happens within the first five minutes of conversation, she is sub-communicating that your calibration is off, or your pick up is not going well.

You can just ignore her b/f comment. Keep control of the frame and keep the conversation on your topic.
