So, yet another AFC hoping to change his ways and do something with his lack of ability to interact confidently and K close or full close with girls.

Im 19 from near London, Im an Actor , well not yet, i'm at drama school studying to become one if I actually pull my finger out in my next two years!

Anyway, I consider myself a reasonably attractive chap, nothing amazing or to write home about, but like i said reasonably attractive. Im an Actor, I have confidence on stage or behind a camera, and i seem to thrive and grow in situations where i need to perform as an Actor or performer, however as soon as Im in a bar or club, i loose every ounce of confidence with talking to girls. My biggest sticking point has to be 'opening' I completly lack any kind of ability to start a decent conversation going with a girl/s. I struggle to even ever go over and start talking, and the thought of the three second rule scares me incredibly!!and then once (if) i do manage to start talking to a girl, i start fumbling my words and blowing my chances within minutes of speaking....

NOW IS THE TIME TO SORT IT OUT!

I attempted the newbie mission of walking down the street/mall and saying Hi to every female that walked past, i bottled it after getting a weird look after the first 'hello' and thinking ''what AM i doing!''...but perseverance is the key i know!

Let me know if any of you have discovered any basic and useful ways to 'open' that have worked for you, especially if you are a guy that normally struggles with opening....

3 second rule as you said is the way to go. When you walk into a club, own it with presence and body language - walk smoothly and just approach the first or second set that you see.

Open them: "Hey I have to get back to my friends in a minute but, What do you guys think of tattoos on girls?"

Then they will respond and you figure out the rest. You said your sticking point is approaching, do it, open it strong (with all body language indicators being positive).

Sounds like the way forward with this problem, ''hey Iv got to get back to my friends in a minute but.." Someone has read 'the game' I did note that one down, it does feel like a good opener, thanks for the reminder!!!
