Catchy aint it.

I have one big problem what i need to correct in my game, and my life.
The problem im having is that i can never seem to tell a story without shining a negative light on it. I mean ill make everyone laugh, but its usualy at the cost of myself. I just have this voice in my head saying stop bragging stop bragging... Some times ill even sabotage my own story to make it seem less cool just to avoid seeming like a show off.

This is detrimental to my game, its really hard to come up with DHV material.
So if you have any advice or anything at all that would help i would greatly appreciate it.

I had a friend like that who constantly negged himself with his own stories. If you have a great sense of humour (sounds like it) this is not necessarily such a bad thing, but if you really really can't tell a story without negging yourself, I suggest you get a good wing who can DHV you. So like you tell a funny story that slightly negs yourself, get everyone laughing, then he comes in and tells it how it REALLY is and makes you look awesome after all. Then you've got the best of both worlds; DHV, modesty, and a great sense of humour.

But that's just a bandaid because sooner or later you're gonna have to isolate the target and if you're still negging yourself without your wing man around to back you up you could really be shooting yourself in the foot.

Honestly, you should sort out your inner game first. You should be proud of yourself.
So work on your confidence first.

That said, a lot of girls find self depreciating humour extremely attractive, if done right and in moderation. It shows that you're comfortable in your skin and that you don't need to impress others for external validation, amongst other things.
It takes a while to figure out the balance - if you use it too much then you come off as insecure, which you most likely do.

The difference between bragging and telling a cool story is often just in the way it's brought up or how you tell it.

But seriously man, sort out your confidence issues first. It's the single best thing you can do.
