We hung out a while ago and she told me she was getting back with her ex. I ignored it and continued shamelessly flirting. I tried to give her a kiss afterwards, but she dodged for a second and then said "actually ok go" a minute later. She continued giving me massive IOIs throughout the day and started mentioning her ex, which she suddenly called her boyfriend. I ignored them all while changing the subject.
Now she occasionally mentions her ex who she now calls her boyfriend, and happens to hang out with him when she’s not with me. I’ve been ignoring all her statements about her "boyfriend". She continues to give me IOIs and IODs (nothing beyond hand holding. She started breaking eye contact often today.) as described in the beginning. She’s still been going on dates with me and hanging out, so I’m totally confused about what she wants. Any suggestions on how I’m supposed to proceed? Am I at a dead end? I also feel like i'm chasing now.
My assumption is that from the start she was not over her ex at the time, and is now back with him. It sounded a bit like she was stringing you a long through IOI's but wanted nothing more. I would move a long.
