New to the website, trying to get in the scene got a few problems with shyness but trying to overcome.

Anyway, I moved here to the US recently and I'm from England so I attract girls EVERYDAY and they comment on my accent all the time, I'm no idiot but my biggest problem is that I really don't know what to say when a girl approaches me and says

"I love your accent"
"I love the way you speak!"

etc etc

I freeze up everytime when they say this and I really can't think of anything so say back that would be witty or flirty!

Help please!

heres the deal:

white girls LOVE british accents. you have a huge advantage in that regard. they will want to talk with you... so just ask them what is around, play off the fact that you are new here...

and i will tell you this, accents are fascinating to me and i always ask my friends from other countries and ppl i meet what my accent sounds like to them.

if a girl says "i love your accent" your reply should be along the lines of "oh really? because to me yours sounds so much cooler" trust me this will probably turn into a long convo .... even if ur lying through your teeth, she will be intrigued.

just out of curiosity, while on this subject, what do british girls think about american accents? im sure it isnt as unique as a british accent in america, because you hear it all the time in movies / tv while we only get mild exposure to urs (through like the bbc).


by the way, this is absolute gold, i am close to retirement on here... but this cannot fail at all.... trust me

Brit girls love American accents as a general rule. Hearing an accent on TV is not like meeting someone in the flesh.

Worth bearing in mind that travelling abroad gives you a bigger edge at pick-up than virtually anything else, and makes you almost instantly attractive.

being irish, i can get alot of attention just thru talking, girls seem 2 love the accent no matter where i go, (even if its just across 2 england!) "OMG your irish".

lately ive been trying to think of better responses to this, rather than just the usual same old bullshit.
ive never tried this but was thinkin of goin down the line of,
"wow, thats cute, ive never been complemented like that b4 , i find that quite patronizing - (is this the right word im looking for??).

then hopefully something along these lines would make her try and win my approval.

hey bruski nice to see some irish people on here . ya havng an irish accent has been such an advatage when traveling around the world . Its he easyiest way to open , when in the states or canada id always justs top random girls on the street and ask them directions to a place id already no but once they hear the accent the conversation just flows because they usualy seem to be so interested . Never found it easyier to get numbers etc . even in ireland , im from teh very south and when in belfast teh girls up there even love the accent , its one of teh easyiest things to play off ,
Back to the beggining of the post just suck it up approch loads of girls and even ask for directions and practice ,

Oh and about British girs an American accents, it's the same thing just not to the extreme level that American girls are like with British accents!

I encourage all you good chaps from Britain/Ireland to invade my country of birth and take all the women you want. Hell, I will help with the forklift so you can lift their dumpy asses onto the plane. Take them away. I have no intentions of ever going to England or Ireland. Fill your countries with them! It is the least you can do to thank us for saving your asses in WWII.

But their making up for it, with their current foriegn policy it looks like they are determined to be in WW3 right from the start!

I would suggest you go watch "Patton". They only make men with balls that size in two places - America and Texas. If Patton was with me he would reach through this screen and strangle you. He would leave you dead and all the ladies in your family pregnant. So goes a man like Patton. Wow. Thats a really strange perspective on america but maybe thats what your country teaches. But when i was in high school america never claimed to win WW1 it says the allies won. At least thats how my text book was printed. Way to show some gratitude because im pretty sure the US didnt have to get involved in that one if they didnt want too.

Secondly if you can explain how japan surrendered in WW2 without mentioning america then ill believe you. I'd also say that you need to take a look at Iraq, fact is the terrorist attacks had NOTHING to do with the Iraqi administration, it was also admitted that america's politions were well aware that Saddam did not have access to nuclear arms.

Al Queda was not involved in any way with the iraqi government at the time of 9/11. And why would Britains ability to be completely spineless change anything said about America?

I'm not patriotic in the slightest, if you question our politicians, I personally don't blame you, becuase I think it is good to challenge the authority of your own nation.

And finally Britain gets counted as the western world, technically speaking their is already a Jihad going on, and the current foriegn policy implemented by the western world at the moment has done nothing but inflame it.
