This might seem like a weird question.
When I text, I refuse to use acronyms like LOL, BRB, and stuff like that. I also refuse to use emotes like

, and

. My reasoning is this.
Great writers are able to convey lots of emotions with just a few well selected words. They do it very well, whilst staying grammatically correct. I feel that using these acronyms, and emotes hinders my language development.
I'm sure it's much easier to flirt when using these, but of course they go against what I believe in.
My question is, should I continue not using these, and continue trying to find the best words for the situation, or should I conform for the sake of an easier time getting my emotions across.
