I have heard Mystery's opinion on this issue and was wondering what some of you guys think. Right after my opening I always want to find out their names and cant think of the next thing to go into without making it awkward.
Example: Last night I was at a party and walked up to a 5 set of girls and used the opener
"So the party seems to be over here..."
After that I had everyones attention but couldn't think of anything to really entertain the entire set except introduce myself and then go into a routine. But Mystery and some others believe a name exchange should be done at the end or towards the middle as a first IOI. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Once you have opened a set you should avoid introducing yourself because its a DLV. Instead you should start the attracting part (negs, DHV ,routines). Once you have succesfully attracted them, THEY will ask your name and introduce themselfs as an IOI. Remeber that the opening part doesnt have to entertain the set but only get its attention.

And yea then this can be seen as a IOI. And the opener you used is not good. When you say "the party seems to be over here.." it is a DLV. Reason being that the party should be where ever you are, not where the set you are opening is.

"hmm it looks like the party is here, but then again the party always follows me (and then give a smile)"

If I'm not mistaken, Mystery said to use that opener as follows:
"Hey, looks like the party's over here! [to target] Wow, if I wasn't gay, you'd totally be my type"

"why are u still talking to me, you havent even introduced me to your friends. thats kinda rude.
HB. im sry . (or what ever she says)
i figured though, when i first saw u i pegged u as someone with no manners"
its a routine thats been used a lot but its good till u develop your game _________________ "there are no unknockable doors, there are no unwinnable wars."
