As the title says, anyone know any good compliments to say that aren't about looks? Get some ideas flowing.

That's a tad cheesy IMO, but if it works for you, go for it.

Compliments should be genuine. Only pay one when you really do like something about someone. I personally only commend people on things it appears that they put effort into.

Jewelry - even earrings! If it's old, it has a story behind it - free topic of conversation. Class rings excluded (unless it's huge for her finger and it's on a chain around her neck = bf most likely). If it's new, she took the time to put it on, so if you like it, say so.

Cool hairstyle - Hair takes almost, if not more time for women to get ready than makeup.

Nails - Kinda tricky. I tend not to comment on them because I feel too feminine doing so, unless they have a nifty airbrush thing done.

Fashion - eh. It's not all that great unless it doesn't look too expensive but still looks nice. An expensive getup is supposed to look good - saying anything about it will likely evoke a 'Duh, I paid $9000 for this' response. A less expensive shirt or something that looks good, to me says 'I spent hours shopping and look what I found!' Commenting on it might bring a girl back to that. And you know how girls love shopping!

Personality - If you comment on someone's personality, comment on something very specific. 'You have a great personality' is cheesy as hell and raises the BS flag. 'You can always make me laugh' is better. 'Your sarcasm brightens my day' is okay. I'm having a brainfart, just be specific.

Smile/eyes/etc - Unless they look like they spend time plucking their eyebrows, whitening their teeth, etc, I won't say anything. (I wouldn't say, 'nice teeth' or 'nice eyebrows', btw. I'd say 'I like your eyes/smile'.)
