Not to get too off topic but what fun is there in getting drunk? Because I never seen the point of getting drunk to have fun really.
Well I believe that when you are drunk (not buzzed and not stumbling, but somewhere in between) the real you comes to the surface. At that point you forget about all the social pressure to be quiet and act normal and mannerly. You give yourself permission to do things you have always wanted to do, but wouldn't. It's like a cathartic experiment, where you allow your repressed side out in a safe environment, just to see what it would be like.
This is why quiet people are usually the loudest and craziest drunks, they are so repressed in their daily lives that they goes nuts when they finally have the opportunity. They seek out alcohol, because they need the wild release of emotions and escape from inhibitions. Basically they are not paying for the beer, they are paying for the experience of living life to the fullest for a few hours.
That being said, I suppose if you are not repressed at all in your life and you are wild, blunt, outgoing, overly-friendly, and reckless all the the time, being drunk won't be as fun.
