Have you ever elicited values from a girl, then fed them back to her (preferably using patterns) and portrayed yourself as her dream guy? Did you get her hooked on you that way?

the occasional "I can't stand people that are like bla bla, but you're not like that, are ya?"

I'm fine the way I am and don't need to constantly go "ME TOO!" on a girl. (ofcourse I'm not disagreeing with them constantly either, there's a fine balance)
I impose my reality upon them, not the other way around.
