Well her parents moved down her last year from over 200 miles away. she has been away at university all year and so she knows no one from my area. shes home for the whole of summer

Invite her in passing anyway even if she doesn't know anyone there. It would be a great way for her to meet people. Even invite her to help plan/cook something with you for it the night before. Grocery shopping and cooking is a great activity, be fun with it try something crazy. It also puts you in a 'couples' situation which you will need to start to push before the LJBF mindframe on her part sets in.
