I want to chit chat with cashiers to experiment and to practice being sociable.
I can hardly think of anything.
I noticed one was wearing glasses and I never saw her wear glasses before, so I talked about that and I got a good response. And another time I talked about my business (which I love!), but I think that was a mistake because according to pua advice you're not supposed to brag or volunteer much info about yourself. It is a turnoff for girls. I think she didn't like it because it seemed to make her feel bad about her own job. I can't ask cashiers about their own job, because basically their job sucks and they don't seem to like their job. I used to be in dead end jobs too and they made me really miserable.
So I don't know what the hell to talk to them about.
Should I talk about popular culture? TV shows? Music? Celebrities?
Should I do opinion openers like they do in mystery method?
Should I ask about their dreams, hopes, and aspirations?
Should I ask about whether they're going to school?
Talk about astrology?

Talk about anything you can find relevant to the conversation at hand. Maybe open it up by talking about what you're buying?

If you're opening to get a #-close, maybe you can use this?
After buying something, look at the receipt she gives you like you're checking it and frown as if there's a problem with it.
Then look back up and say 'there's something wrong here, I can't find your number on it.' smile and wink and proceed from there.
Would this work out?

silouhett i like your train of thought! definately a good line might want to have a little light banter befor and she would actualy give ya the number if you have already bought/paid for the item you might feel a bit odd standing around talking to her(if your experienced and no AA you wouldnt even notice haha)
Most stores around here if its not busy the cashier is out and about in the store putting sutff back etc.. try just saying hey, go from there if shes bored or interested in you at all she will probably start talking to you. I mean like you said dead end jobs are terrible anything fun is a good change!
Get her laughing a little make fun of some kid you just saw in the mall with the pants down at his knee's or point at one of the girls shirts realy frilly and say if i wore this would you still be hanging off my every word? C&F is where its at and my C&F is in need of aid. currently listning to David D's cocky comedy audio book got some good info in there. would recomend it for a start and there is a good post in the routines section with a long list of C&F lines "The Best Tease Routines (by Jay Wa) " its a sticky cant miss it

One thing David D's cocky comedy says that kinda stuck is basicly stay as FAR away from normal conversation as you can at the start i mean how meny times do you think people come in just to hit on her or stair, be fun and interesting get her wanting to tell you about herself tell stories DHV stories not DLV look up some jokes online heck even download onto your ipod one of those pickup line apps and use the CORNIEST or the math ones exagerate, to the point of pulling out your ipod and reading it DIRECTLY off the thing but most importantly HAVE FUN!!!!! if your not realy there to "get the girl" and the vibe your putting out is just playfull/having fun the rest will come

The DD cocky comedy thing was pretty good for an intro to cocky funny, but I need to find a lot more material. I don't want to bust on the girls too hard cuz they're not 9's or 10's, except for one HB10 who is freaking awesome. I dunno why she works at a market cuz they only pay $8/hr. She should be a model. I think I will also dig through Swinggcat's stuff to find things I can use on hired guns. Right now I'm reading Juggler's book for conversation tips.

Appreciate it. Well for a C&F approach, try having the mindset that the girl you're talking to is disposable and you'll feel more confident to poke fun at her and this should help your game.

Well there are many things to say.
When i flert with one I have them pick out my food.
sort of roll playing
Keep it fun and make sure she knows im flerting with her because she interacts with people all day why am i diffrent.
