Tonight I was out with my friends and met this girl whom i started to chat up. All was going fine until I got to that state when you think you're about to kiss her but nothing happens! That's not the first time this happens to me. You're there with the girl.. talking, dancing and so but it gets to a point where you sort of stare at her, looking for a response then you move forward and you can see her sort of moving away.. I mean I would understand that if I had been talking to her for a few minutes and made her feel uncorfortable by being too "desperate" but in those cases I spend a good portion of the night talking to the girl, I mean if she didn't like it she would probably come with an excuse and go away but she didn't! She stayed with me sort of standing there and then you keep looking for something to say... start a topic then you talk and talk and then make a move and get the same results and has to start all over again!!!! I know it may sound very stupid but that puzzles me. I mean I can't understand why a girl would spent good part of their night with you when there are lots of other guys trying to push her away from you and then when you make a move respond in such a way?

It's really frustrating cause you're trying to get to someone, you talk and talk and you never get past that and then you get into that ackward state where you run out of things to say and she starts to look as if she was bored and you feel like telling her "Hey! I could do with some interaction you know!" I mean you feel like you are there to entertain her...

By the way I'm not those sort of guys that chases the girl wherever she goes or stays by her side if she's talking to someone else... As soon as I notice that she looks way too bored (despite my efforts...) or she starts to chat with someone else I move away, go to a different area, try to talk to different people and wait for some 15 minutes or until she's by her own again to come back...

I'm aware that I must be doing something wrong.. Though it may sound obvious to you guys I would appreciate if someone could point out what it is!!!

Your not building any attraction, let alone sexual tension. Girls will hang out with you if they are having a good time with you, even if they are NOT attracted to you in anyway.
