Lately I've seen a lot of posts by guys who decided to "put aside pickup techniques" to start a relationship with a particular girl, whether because they felt they didn't need them anymore, or because they thought she was special and different from all other women.
The fact that after doing so they had to post on these forums to figure out where they went wrong should be evidence enough that this is very erroneous thinking.
For the most part, what's taught in the community isn't some set of rules and guidelines set up to manipulate reality--quite the opposite, it's a recognition of rules and guidelines that have existed longer than any of us, pre-dating even the ancient times when the seduction community consisted of a few kids in Canada trading e-mails about magic tricks.
Of course anyone who knows me will tell you, I'm certainly not defending specific gambits and routines. What I'm saying is that the principles those things are based on are never going to go away.
You read that right.
They're never going to go away.
Put simply, pickup is a recognition of the way attraction works, quantified and codified as well as human beings are capable of. Feel free to shed all the gambits and routines in the world--in fact, I encourage it. But don't think you can put aside the principles they are based on and have consistent success.
This is as close to claiming there is an objective truth as you'll ever see me get, so I hope it helped you
Your boy,
