While texting can be a useful tool in gaming it has some extreme disadvantages. Often times texts lack tone, emotion or context, as do other forms of writing such as email. Sometimes things can off as sarcastic when they are meant to be playful, or as if you are being brushed off, hardly ever the case.

I dont like texts for contact past relaying information as to where/when the next real contact will take place. Anything that has feeling or emotion lopped up in it, bad idea. The disadvantage to texting is many people assume the other person has recieved thier message. "Omg why havnt they responded" "wtf it took 30 minutes to respond" People have thier own lives and if you are trying to be part of it texts are not always the way to go.

What I am saying is use it to set up meetings or relay information or small amounts of flirting but leave it there. Send messages that do not matter whether or not there is a response.

i disagree on the use of texting. I think that you can def use txting to ur advantage especially because its very low investment. Its a good way to send short, witty things and it really removes a lot of the burden of using the phone, leaving messages, calling people back etc...

Exactly. Texting is a very low pressure low risk way of communication; it takes very little time and you can be in contact with multiple girls at a time. Yes there can be a delay on girls responding to a text, but it's no different than calling someone and them not picking up the phone. The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.
