hey guys, im reading The Game (about the middle of the book) and i found it so amazing that i started to search new routines in the internet

but when i told my male friends about this...openers, negs, demonstrations of value they laugh and say its ridiculous and ill look like a clown saying them to girls

like "excuse me, i need your opinion on something. do you believe spells work?" and coming with the post-history about a friend whose GF cast a spell to engage him...
they say all girls will think of me as a retard and idiot

why they say this :S?

A friend of mine made fun of me to my face infront of all our friends about getting "dating advice" from a certain book.

The thing is, he is the one dating a horse, not me.

If you really want to prove them wrong, keep it up. Show them the error of their ways and soon they'll be going out to get their own copies of The Game.

it depends on the person. For instance I would not do those canned openers as it seems fake and completely not my style. But there are people who can not open direct or can not think of their own ways so they use them.
Using something (even if that something is not the coolest thing) is still better than just saying nothing and loosing your chance. Its that simple.

The book 'The game' in my opinion is outdated and unhelpful, the community has evolved far past it.

I dont blame them actually, if one of my buddies told the rest of us about this pua stuff, this thing that will magically draw women to you, we would definetly think it was bullshit and make fun of him. Because none of us want to admit in front of everyone that they don't have a clue how to attract girls, no one want to admit to their friends that they are an afc.
But if i discovered this on my own, i would be curious, which i did and now i dont have a single doubt about this stuff. That's why i don't tell my friends about this, because they will definetly make fun of me, no doubt. But i will keep this stuff to myself for now until i've learned it so i can prove them wrong when they have doubts.

That's because your friends are narrow-minded retards. I've also said to people that I will earn the money the way I am doing it now and they were all like "lol, no that's not possible". Then I just kept shut and proved them wrong.

99% people are very narrow and think too much inside the box.

Still you should filter all the information you receive through your own mind. Not everything what's on the internet is true.

Canned openers are great for people who are just getting into the game, but I agree, you should develop your own openers which relate to you.

I disagree with Mystery and Neil being complete nerds and The Game being unhelpful although it is outdated. I thought The Game was very helpful and a definite must buy.

Don't tell your friends about this stuff then. I stopped telling anyone I knew about this stuff. Its your own personal goals. Do you really need their validation to go through with it? Fuck no. You don't need to tell anybody about it, you just need to go out and make an effort, improve yourself, and fuck what people think. If you feel the need to tell your friends about it then you're still seeking validation in some ways.

Plus the social consequences are pretty devastating if you have shitty friends, like the ones you've mentioned seem like. If word goes around that you're learning to pick up girls from a dating advice book that makes you seem like a loser. All that PUA stuff is always taken out of context and put into the wrong light. Just avoid this problem in the first place by simply keeping it to yourself. My closest, closest, closest friends do not even know about this.
