I found this on casualbond.com huge news i reckon.

I’ve gotta admit it. I’m extremely excited about this movie. (The Game) The producers of this project couldn’t have picked a more suitable individual in Russell Brand to play the notorious ‘Mystery’. Both individuals are equally audacious in their physical presentation and command the attention of all in their presence. Their mastery of the english language and execution of brilliant extroverted mannerisms have propelled them to cult-god statuses.

The truth is I don’t think Brand needs to emulate Mystery in this role, he just needs to be himself. By embracing his proclivity to be a narcissistic, peacocking psychological manipulating savant he should have no trouble hammering the role home. Dude, I truly believe these guys have similar descendants. GQ recently did a expose on Brand that accurately captured his essence;

“……Oh my god, you’re so beautiful, how can you NOT come with me now, it’s going to be brilliant. Why would you not? What you doing? What’s on the telly? What are you going to do instead?…….The thing I’m offering I can deliver….Escape from Mundanity!”

If you thought the book “The Game: Penetrating the Inner Society of Pickup Artists” was big. Wait until the release this movie. It should make the community mainstream…the question is if that’s a good thing, or a bad thing….

Butterfield: I think its best not to worry about this too much. The only real problem for me is whether guys in the community will lose respect for each other as it becomes really mainstream due the different groups joining. What do you guys reckon?

I don't think it will make the game mainstream.

Maybe a few more AFC's will look into it on the internet and stumble across sites like these (I read the game a few weeks ago and became addicted to the knowledge), but I doubt it will be well known.

Only certain types of people want to improve/ believe they can. Also brand as mystery is a mistake IMO, he can play himself but he is nothing like mystery. Mystery is calculated and subtle brand is in your face and flamboyant. Meh this movie has been in the making for years now and I have still not seen any solid evidence of ti coming out anytime soon.

Whens it due to be released?

I'll have to sharpen up on natural game to be prepared for when every guy is using PUA lol.

I was thinking. If the basic principles of PUA like acting disinterested, push-pull etc are adopted by every guy (I know not everyone will get fully involved in PUA but they will learn these basic things), it will probably become more attractive to be just a avaiable, needy AFC, in a world full of "Jerks" lol.

Also more guys will be actually approcahing woman.

a few things fristly i think if the pick up artist and the book hasn`t already made people know about pick up artists then about a movie will the only people will fail are those who just copy word for word the movie we know know thee is a lot to do with body lagauge and kino and also alot of master pua`s have updated there technques such as gambler. so alot of thing said in the book who be out of date anyway.
secondly the makers won`t be able to use the title "the game" as there is another another flim (non pua related) called the game so they will need a new title

thrid russel Brand is a grat choose there are qoutes i have found about brand saying he got help with women from style

1. "The Game" by Neil Strauss was a New York Times Bestseller at one point.
2. The Pick Up Artist TV show came out on VH1.

Neither one of those points caused major damage to the community as far as I can tell. Sure it got some exposure and now certain canned routines are over used, but regardless you should be growing more original and routine-less as you progress anyways, IMO. More exposure may not be a bad thing anyways - the more members it draws the more ideas you can throw out there and expand on. As long as you take ideas and make them your own and develop a "natural" game for yourself, you will be fine.

I don't think the movie coming up will have a major impact on the community other than a few more members.

If the seduction community does go mainstream, meaning a movie about it world create memes and pop culture refrrences everyone would know about....

It would just make it easier to tell the REAL MEN apart from the new groups of nerds who spit overused lines and techniques and spend more time reading and watching videos about the game than living the game.

The book and vh1 show brought the community so much publicity that I expect that a large percentage of men and women especially in urban areas are aware of it and can recognize when someone is spitting our game.

Nevertheless if a naturally attractive man is doing the approaching and opening his being a part of the seduction community is irrelevant to the outcome. Such a man would give a f@@k about getting called out, and actually look forward to it as an oppurtunity to pass a shit test. Style gets called out all the time for writing the game... but he still wins the group and the chick.

I'm not worried about PU becoming main-stream, or people "finding out about us", in-fact I'm all for it.

I'm worried about the film, whorring out the community and making it look like something it's not.

The community has a pretty damaged reputation from MM styles hogging all the publicity and giving a really baised slight to the community.

I'm not sure if another MM dominated film is what we want, if we want to give a more accurate portrayal of ourselves.....
