Hey guys, just got home from a day where I didn't feel confident (barely ever happens now im glad to say with help from this website :P). But my question is:-

Do we have to be happy while gaming the whole time?

I try to keep a positive attitude but somedays Il be about to neg a girl or something and I'l think to myself... 'I actually can't be fucked'. If I feel grumpy or miserable should I even bother trying to game? Because surely noone on this site is in a good mood the WHOLE time right?

I just want to know whether being in a good mood is a big kicker in terms of the interactions we have with people, or do moody, more serious guys get women attracted too?

Cheers from the UK

Its best to be in a good mood.

You want the interaction to be fun and its hard to create a fun interaction when you don't have the right mindset. Plus everyone wants to be around someone who is happy not someone who is going to bring the energy down.

Well im happy everyday I wake, but Ive spent valuble resource and time making sure my mental conditioning only ever leads me into possitive moods etc.

Ive regressed once since I started out, but it was flashback'eque to a mirror situation I was involved in.

Other than that I think every day of the last 3 months at least Ive been happy. I am the master of my life and my emotions. I know why things make me happy and I know why things make me sad. It doesnt mean I have to let these things affect my mental state.

I can express happyness and sorrow without having to wallow in the emotion itself. I find its better to disconnect emotion from mood.

Like 90% of people let their emotions and their moods merge. So when something triggers an emotion it will in turn trigger a mood or feeling...

example a)

1. You see an ex gf who broke ur heart years ago
2. Your emotion - sadness, anger, rage, dissapointment
3. Your mood - Negative

example b)

1. You buy an item of clothing you really liked in a shop
2. Your emotion - joy, pleasure, happiness, contentment
3. You mood - Possitive

So your mood as a standard being is directly linked to your emotions. If you have an emotional imbalance, supressed memories or mental blocks, then you will never have control over your mood.
NLP teaches you to experience the bad points of your personality to release them and replace them. By bringing the bad thought and feelings to the front of your mind, you will remove them temporarily in ur subconscious. The talent is know when you can replace the bad emotions with good ones.

The idea is to enrich ur mentality with possitive and progressive emotions, not negative or uncomplimentry emotions.

Once you achieve a perfect emotional balance, you should start to see your mood remain more constant.

Thanks for the replies, trouble is I absolutely hate having to fake happiness and I hate myself for doing it, making it even worse, I'm not a naturally happy person, I almost want to be moody alot of the time.

Well look into using NLP to improve ur mood init.

U obviously have a few issues upstairs that wont allow u to have happy as ur "default mood".

Step 1 - Right down everything u hate
Step 2 - Right down everything u love
Step 3 - Take your list of hates, and write out why u hate each item
Step 4 - Take those reasons for hating and find resolution for them

You kinda need to trawl the bad and dark thoughts out of ur mind and onto paper, then justify why u feel that way. After youve done this you should more or less have a cause and effect list for why u get in bad moods, now just go back to those situations and find sum sort of peace or resolution for them. Even if u have to address people about issues etc.

With conflict in ur mind its either caused by u or by others, so some stuff u need to sort by yourself and some stuff may require u communicating to others.

But until u can really let ur past go ur future if gunna be in termoil.

I effectively have closure on all my past relationships, ive resolved personal and family conflicts, Ive appologised to alot of people for how I treated them.

Its the karma theory I suppose, If i try to do well and make up for my past maybe my future will be better, and it is

I'm in total aggreement with Z, not as technical as that though. Being in control of your emotional state is not faking that you're happy or in a good mood. I'm not a naturally happy person. Meaning I don't express it, but that doesn't mean I'm not having a good day. Everytime I wake up, whether I'm feeling good or bad, I tell myself, "I'm going to have a good fucking day today, and if not... I'll 'make' it a good fucking day". I get a lot of comments from men and women saying things like, I'm a 'badass', 'tough guy' and so on... but people enjoy hanging around me not out of fear or because we're on the same emotional level of feeling down; if anything, it's because I'm projecting that I'm going to have a good day, and it magnetically attracts them. Hope that made sense. Love life bro, you'll get twice the love back.

Cheers mate I'm just checking out some videos now. I guess the reason I have these odd moods is because I am wayyyy to hard on myself, and think about myself wayyyy too much.

Like when a girl comes over to me and starts speaking occasionaly, I start thinking in my mind "shit what do I say what do I say? I was on form earlier why can't I kino and tease her now? Damn!" And suddenly she's gone.

I understand where you're coming from.

I totally love this quote because I apply it to almost all aspects of my life and it's from the great Bruce Lee

"Don't think... Feel"

It's how fighters are brought up. You're not thinking about the situation, you feel and react. I'm laughing to myself right now because this is what I always said to myself when it came to women. It's funny how I ended up losing grasp of it.

I think 90% of problems people face in PUA is thinking to much,
thats why its generally intellegent and educated guys that make it here.

In pickup ur mind is a weapon, one that fairly often turns on its owner and shoots them down.

You jus need to train ur weapon so that it stays on target, this only comes with practice and conditioning

Definately mate, its just hard to not over-analyse things from my perspective, its weird and hard to explain, but everytime I get a successful close I keep thinking How did I get that? and I want to put it all down into different stages instead of it just boosting my ego and increasing my confidence.

I need to get out of my head, but I don't know how to alot of the time, I'm a bit skeptical about NLP really..

Ok so ur problem is u, least u admit that...

Most people who struggle under my tuition have similar problems, they are of an analytical nature, they like to break things down, reverse engineer and understand all the components.

Normally this is great, but it means u start to break down ur game into layers and pieces... the problem is you need the layers to remain in place, in the right order and built the correct way.

then u shud never need to "think" about the game, because the way u behave around women shud be 2nd nature.

You know dude I saw your first post in the thread, and briefly outlined you and zikkis post. If he went over this I apologize for posting this, but when I post I don't like seeing what others write cause it can influence my own.

You know dude, what really motivates me to sarge, and game is all my frustrations. Knowing that I have the chance to even sarge the hottest girls. I have that extra something that gives me the edge over other AFCs knowledge of the online community, and all the other methods produced.

But to get out of a bad mood, I recommend listening to inspirational speeches on youtube. Dozens of videos from sports movies to rocky :).

Thanks, buddy. You have enlightened me. Really. It' s so simple it's hard to believe. But as I think about it, it,s 100% true. The sphere of emotions, love, sex has nothing to do with logic, with rational thinking.

I'll try to think less... use emotions more...

It's also important to treat your body the right way by making sure you get plenty of water, exercise and sleep.

That has a major effect on your state.
