At the club, gorgeous cocktail waitress HB 9.5 on my picky scale. Didn't get much time to talk to her throughout the night because she was running around doing stuff but def. felt a vibe when I did talk to her. So I plan on talking to her a little more and inviting her back to our loft to party afterwards.....but my friend's loser frat brother from college is there and he's the BIGGEST GAMEKILLER EVER. I'm not even sure if he knows he's doing it because he's 32 and hasn't been kissed/layed in 4 years according to him. He's a serial cockblocker. He doesn't drink and if someone brings a girl back to bang on the couch, he stays there...SOBER...and sleeps on the other couch 2 feet away. Back to the story. So I start talking to this cocktail waitress and tell her she should come back and party and before I could get another word in this dude goes "Ya, you should give us your number and come party" AND AS HE IS SAYING THIS HE PULLS OUT A FUCKING LEATHER BOUND NOTEPAD AND A PEN THAT LOOKS LIKE YOU'D SIGN THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE WITH and she looks at me like "WTF?" and I just couldn't believe it so I walked away. She told my buddy's girlfriend she had a boyfriend, which I don't believe. I went and talked to her after all this and just straight up apologized for that dude being a creepy moron.
So my questions are.....
1. Given the situation, what else could I have done to not look like a creep because of what dude did with his notepad?
2. I'm eventually going to go back to this club, what should my gameplan be? Especially if she does have a boyfriend?

they say that you shouldn't hang out with those people that bring you down and kill your game.

what i would of done is bounce her to another spot. say something like "hey i gotta tell you something over here" and walk somewhere she should follow you.

boyfriend... hmmm... just play it cool. "ohhh so you have a boyfriend... how long have you guys been going out" talk a little and than eject. "hey nice meeting you guys..i gotta get back to my friends"

otherwise if shes single game on.
