I'm a student in London. I got into the game about 2 years ago and it's worked wonders for me. I now have a 2 months trip to the US planned with some mates for this summer. Obviously, I want to try pull while I'm there, but I believe the game over there may be quite different from what is expected here. Anyone with abroad experience have any specific recommendations for things that I should watch out for over there, do differently etc?

If like me you have a strong English accent your pretty much set, the last few times I have been to the states I was getting approached just for that.
However, game isn't different at all. Women all over the world have the same attraction switches (with a few minor cultural differences).
Best advice I can give you is spend the first night out observing what the naturals do and just adjust as you see fit.

i find the women much harder and diff over in america..i live in canada and when i compare to women in the uk it is diff

Dude.. think about it, do you know nothing of American culture, like madals said, take an accent with you (MAKE SURE IT'S NOT NORTHEN though for the love of god) either posh yourself up a bit, or play a cockney-London character it works wonders, however if I had to give you a couple of tips generally I would say go out there for the fun and don't aim to pull and you will seem more attractive.

Honestly I have found that if you go somewhere with the objective of getting with some girl it tends to be more tricky as that's all you can think about.

67 percent of american women find an english accent to be extremely sexy.
70 percent of college girls are horny as shit.
60 percent of woman can't resist a good pua
13 percent know a guy with an english accent.

That's like 900 percent or something. You will be golden. As long as there are no religious or cultural/social issues or boundries that you cross while traveling girls are generally pretty similar at the core. Of course a godo calibration will be needed if you are going from the US to India, and I heard china was actually pretty hard to game too, I think I read it on this forum actually. But I digress, there are very few things you will need to change from your britsh game to your american game, if anything.

Towards one of your last questions, watch out for aids and transexuals, they'll both getcha every time, trust me...

FTR, where in the states are you going? Not sure if it will effect you too much, but that's important--girls can be completely different around this country.

W/ that said, while girls love the accent, they absolutely hate the sense of humor. So when you make a joke, make it EXTREMELY obvious by using the biggest shit eating grin possible. But be prepared, even then they might not get it.

So keep the accent, limit the slang, keep the stand-offishness, but drop the dry humor. That and alcohol!
