I work at a pharmacy, and while 90% of the our customers are in their 70's there are some good looking women who come in once in a while, most between 18 and 40 (I like some older ones ).

My question is, are IOI's given to you by women in this environment having to do with your job to help them, or is it actual interest? I've noticed once in a while a woman will toss her hair, smile at me, etc, when talking to me and I don't know what to make of this. Are they being simply polite to someone they are expected to talk to (I am usually ringing them up) or are they genuinely interested? At my job we look up their card information via phone number and when I ask them for their phone # to type in some of them toss their hair vigorously.

The reason I ask is because outside of my store clerk job, women very rarely give me this many IOI's.

And another thing, doesn't working as a store clerk automatically lower your value in a woman's eyes?

And if this is genuine interest, where do I go from here?

BTW, I'm 20 and never been on a date or had a girlfriend, so trust me I got a lot of work to do. My doubts come mostly from receiving what I thought were IOI's (hair tossing, smiles, eye contact) and then either being shot down or getting the phone # to hear the next day I'm not "their type".

I know its tempting to try to run game while at work...
your already getting time with this person.. your taking their personal information... blah blah blah...

BEWARE... especially if you like your job
your really not in an enviroment where its ok to be hit on or hit on girls...

AND you work in a pharmacy...

my usual responce is leave the game to non-working hours unless you work in a bar or nightclub or some venue where its expected to be hit on and to return the attention is socially acceptable.

Thanks for pissing on my parade Is there really no way to play the game at my job? It's a crappy retail job, i don't value it or anything it's just something to hold me over for now. Some of these girls are SO hot, and I don't go to bars and night clubs much (I find the environment very uncomfortable and the girls are so hostile).

I find that women seem to have their guard down and are much friendlier at my job than they are to me when I'm not working, very standoffish. This might be my last option for a girlfriend, please give me some tips instead of negativity.

dude hes not trying to be negative, but its really true, your best bet is to grow some manhood and just take chances. go out to the clubs and they wont be as hostile, dude im 17 and i go to clubs all the time (dont as how i get in just know i do since im not gonna say for legal reasons) and shit the first few times i went i was fucking scared as hell...

if i can feel non hostile in a club and im 17, ur 20, go to a club get used it and have fun. or go somewhere like a bar, or somewhere else, dont rely on women being forced to talk to you man, im not tryin to be negative but cmon man, isnt it kinda pathetic ur relying on the women coming to you while at ur job? go take the initiative and meet some ladies

yeah dont take it as me pissing on your parade... but lets look at this from a viewers perspective....

the reason the guard is down is because they dont expect you to hit on them...
i mean they are giving you their personal information right there.... if they got the vibe that you were hitting on them, and they werent cool with that.. how do you think they would feel giving you their personal info???

ON top of that fact... you have no way to escalate... nothing is in your favor.. you cant kino *working*... yeah you can get a number but honestly... getting numbers is a piece of cake.. it doesnt really mean anything

you cant bounce unless its close to break or lunchtime.. they would walk out of there and never give you another thought because no comfort is built...

Lastly as I hinted at before, you work in a Pharmacy... getting perscription drugs is a big deal for some people... there is a high possibility that some people could attempt to take advantage of you because of your job... and that is not only getting fired, but going to jail....extreme circumstance i know... but ive seen crazier.

dont use work as a crutch... its not really helping you get over AA... and your totally at the mercy of the people comming in...

take charge and control the situation by approaching who YOU want to approach in an enviroment YOU control.


now just to TRY to put a nice spin on this... if you saw a hot girl and wanted to try something...
just say, hey you seem pretty cool, but im working *obviously*
do you go out or hangout somewhere? maybe ill see you out blah blah blah.

I personally woulnt recomend trying it... but at least its a little devils advocacy
