i knew that i was being harsh with the things i was saying, but i thought the prettier the girl is the harder you neg them.

this girl was a ten+.

is it because negs have a playful context that cant be conveyed online that this backfired?

how can you neg online when the text doesnt have a tone and you cant see the girls face or body to calibrate?

or do girls believe face book is a private space for them and there friends?(even though that isnt true!)

i was trying to use a combination of cocky comedy and negs.

i can do these things face to face quite well so why does it backfire online.

Dude...you were WAY too harsh. You don't necessarily get that mean...you just hit her with more negs...but softer things like "Oh that shirt's interesting...did you buy it at walmart?" or something like that...you don't say her shirt looks like puke, and that she appears to be a hooker.

Learn this right now. One neg is more than enough. When she messaged back, you drop the thread and move forward. Quit talking about her lame profile picture, because you came off like a total asshole. You were just picking her apart to make yourself feel better. Lame.

The reason why negs don't work as well online is because of context and tonality. Not only does what you say matter, but how you say it. You cannot showcase tonality online.

If you must neg, make sure there is a better compliment in there.... Neg, then cut that thread. Ask your patented Mystery Method opinion opene or DHV or whatever. Just move forward.... Dont sit there and keep negging because you looked like a little kid.

yeah the first few negs may have still been able to get you somewhere but when u made that hooker comment, you crossed the line. from my experience, girls hate it when you refer to them as some kind of hooker. like really. do you think a girl would like someone who constantly insults her fashion sense and then calls her a hooker? ok maybe it will work in some cases, but over Facebook or myspace may be a lil much so i doubt it

negs arent necessarily supposed to lower her value to the point where you can just pick up the pieces. negs are just lil tools to show that you have a sense of humor, while lowering her value a little, and i mean A LITTLE, just enough so she has a reason to qualify for you.
