sure am from reading dude. grew up around here, moved back after uni cos i've got such a huge friendship group in rdg i couldn't keep away!

globals cliquey but i know the people who run it so its not a huge problem for me. not good for pulling though - good observation.

as for the Oakford, i've always found it to be full of drugged-up high maintenance indie twats...get through a field of noel fielding/russell brand wannabes just to get to the bar!

That said, I've got a mate who met up with some guys from the style life forums on friday night and did the run of the cocktail bars - pure canned material all the way, but given that it was his first time sarging he did OK.

however

result: loads of opening, very little transition, zero closing. personally i've found cocky/funny suits my naturally outgoing, sarcastic personality pretty well. it's just a case of holding your frame when the shit tests start flying!
I dont really go to many different places because allot of my mates always wanna go to the same spots, plus i only really like r'n'b and hiphop so try to stick to those kinda places for the music really.

Like i said aint really tried gaming in Reading, only what comes naturally but i tend to get a bit of AA in Reading purely because of the negative attitude and the poor success rate ive had previously, I find im so much more confident in other places like Birmingham, maybe because i know it doesnt matter what people think and i dont know what to expect but i guess ive just come to expect a rejection in Reading

Haha! yep allot of my time is in Q unfortunately, im bored to tears of that place and have actually stopped going out so much because of it but generally its where allot of my friends always wanna go. Im finding i like allot more nicer places like Mix and Sakura is ok but not overly keen on the music there, i do need to try some new places in town but there really aint that many!

It's all about you.

It's not about the venue.
It's not about the area.
It's not about the time of day.

It's all about you.

That's one of the central ideals of this community. That's why we learn.

Learn and adapt.

Not being a local is always a DHV. Even he you are though ou just need to stand out as awesome.

I live in Manc, and have been to Reading just need the once. Did pretty good there, and didn't experience any of the attitude you guys are talking about. Was a bit pissed. The only venue I remember is The Purple Turtle. Any of you guys frequent that place?

Peace

I cant stress how much people need to imbed this in their inner game circuitry.
Great advice Kowalski.
I am also from Reading and i can tell you that you can run some good game there.
By going out three-four nights a week hitting the uni nights your not going to bump into any attitude or 'chavs' for that matter. Infact i was told that reading university out of the whole uk scored 3rd in having the hottest chicks in their uni by fhm.
