I'm in college and there's this girl in class I get along with very well. After a couple of initial conversations she began sitting next to me and now we talk in class twice a week and are working on a group project together.

I recently asked her out for coffee while walking her to her next class and she agreed. She was running late and told me that I had her number and we could set a date later. So, I texted her with a call back to an in joke of ours and tried to set a date for coffee. She has not responded and I'm not sure if I should still expect her to.

I guess my questions are (1) how long should I wait for a response before accepting that she she's giving me one, and (2) how should I interact with her for the next six or seven weeks that we have to still see each other?

Maybe you should try freezing? Don´t contact her, wait her to contact you.

you know maybe she's had no credit to txt or call you back. I am guilty of this habit also but when ever you want to set up a date or watever the best thing to do is call. texting isn't really going to cut it for you or her. so when you c her in class next time just act like she din't have credit to respond and that u can set up another date. it wasn't a problem because you had things to do and places to go anyway. right?

In my opinion, texting is more of a long term conversation, you shouldn't expect replies right away. Also when texting it is easy to feel ignored, when really that is not the case the person might simply not have known he/she was texted happens to me all the time.

So in this case I think you should just call her, there is no excuse not to and you will be able to get her honest opinion right away. Try to call her at a convienient time though, like when she is out of class

Ordinarily I'd think freezing is the way to go, but since I have to see her and work with her on a project for the next several weeks I don't know how practical that would be.

I have to see her tomorrow for class regardless of what I do so I was thinking of just seeing how she acts. If she stops sitting by me or appears uncomfortable when I talk to her, I have my answer. If she acts like she did before I texted her, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask her one more time, but more directly and in person.

how do you freeze someone if u have to see them every day?

Just try and keep the conversation alot shorter than usual and do not make any jokes and just act more serious.
