I told her 'I was just about to close' and she apologised and said she didn't notice. So I had this really brief chat with her about where she was going. I must have splurted out about 10 words at most. That was it. She smiled.
Then I saw her again alittle later and she had dropped her ticket. I stopped her and told her. As I walked away, she made an effort to say thank you. This didn't feel like an ordinary thank you. It was quite loud and felt personal (lol), a 'Come back I want to talk to you thank you'!
But I walked off and it would've looked strange me coming back, I think! She was cute. What could I have done?? My mind went completely blank.

Definitely approach more to get comfortable talking to women and have that ticking box work with what she's saying (over-exaggerated who what when where's work well). If you're still blank what I do is kinda compliment her then ask an opinion question and try to branch out from that.
Example.
*after small awkward silence*
Me: Hey, you seem like a fashion savvy gal--where would you suggest guys go about buying the latest style?
HB: uhh..*names some stores*
Me: Oh, do you only shop at the brand whore stores? I want to be different.
blah blah blah

Its just that she caught me off guard and I was probably thinking about something else at the time.
So what do you say when caught offguard??
