well i just finsihed my boot camp in london and back in toronto and i dont think ill have a problem but i need a wing..i cant do it by my self..lol

from personal experiences I think im at a stage where i can start to form advice on this:

1. whilst you get AA dont think too much give your self 3-5 seconds literally then do it! Anymore and loads of excuses come up like "what do i say?" "how do I act?" etc.

2. Dont worry about canned stuff, just be like "hay how are you?" or an opinion opener and take it from there. Too much canned stuff over loads the brain unless you've been remembering far far too much (the conscious mind can only remember up to 15 on average items)

3. Dont peacock too much! I see this now more then other, whilst trying to force myself too much id wear a whole load of shit, now ill wear just one or two interesting things as loads made me far too edgy!

4. go with it- however she reacts be cool with it as you will then learn to go further and further over loads of practise!

5. learn how to eject your self- therefore if things do go wrong (and they do) you can get out before loads of damage is done, but again be cool, its nice to meet you, hand shake or hug then leave is cool!

So yeah five tips for you from someone whos just learnt it himself! Hope it helps!

This is great advice. I remember watching a video where Adam Lyons mentions this kind of thing to help get started with breaking down AA.

- From what I remember he tells the guys that they should start small by approaching a girl then complimenting them on their sweater or whatever, then just say have a nice day and walk off--without waiting for a response from the girl. *(this is supposed to break the idea that people don't tell you to fuck off if you approach them)*

- When you're comfortable with that; do the same approach, but stick around and see what she has to say and try and expand the conversation by asking where they got it or something then eject when you feel you're running out of things to say.

- Rinse and repeat until you're comfortable enough to open and close with material.

This is actually behavior therapy called systematic desensitization. You can wiki it and read about it if you don't believe me!

I had that same problem too but what I did was have my friend push me in a way that made me go. I would start barging that I could get a HB I saw in a club when my body couldn't move and of course they would say prove it.

Now I had my pride to look after from people I know so didn't think I would care if I got rejected by someone it didn't. and after the first few word come out my mouth the fear went away.

I'm not saying it the right motivation but it did work for me.

I have a wide Scottish friend (a natural) who once said to me "go and talk to her or I'll KICK YOUR ARSE!" Needless to say, there was no AA that time :lol:
