whenever im with a girl and the conversation starts to die down, i usually say "tell me something interesting about yourself that most people dont know about you", this can either give you time to think of other material while she thinks about her answer, or when she answers, she will probably ask u the same question in return, starting an entertaining sort of game, where she wants an answer from you, giving you a little more control of the situation than before. The game also helps to get more intimate with with the girl you are tryin to close

ps. if she doesnt want to answer or lies that she has nothing, pushpull tactics and freeze outs should do the trick
