Hey I am deciding what type of Residence I want to be in for my 1st year of uni... Supposedly there is a party one that is well known for having attractive chicks, the thing is its a two-bed room, meaning I would have to share it with someone, I can also go to a different rez nearby and get my own room. Soo what are your thoughts?

I think there are many benefits of rooming with someone else, such as meeting their group of friends and etc... but there are a lot of drawbacks, what do I do if I want to bring a girl back? Anyone with knowledge of this subject have any advice???

Bump, really interested in hearing from you guys. Here is more information about me that can influence your decisions.

I am very good looking (honest/conceited take your pick), have pretty solid game and have a very active lifestyle. I consider myself to be approachable and I am very confident so meeting people isn't a problem for me. Hope to hear from you guys.

i would room in the party dorm. I go to school in the US and although having a roommate has its drawbacks, it definately has its pluses such as meeting their friends like you said.

I'd dorm someplace where you could get a single. If you have reasonably solid game, you can get invited to parties, make friends with other people in the dorm who DON'T necessarily share your room, and generally have no problem with the social scene.

In other words, it'll be easy for you to have a social life outside of your immediate dwelling place. On the other hand, sometimes, the library will be closed, the "quiet room" will be occupied, or you'll otherwise not be able to find a peaceful place to study. Having a single means that you have a sanctuary on those occasions when your studies are more important than your social life (however often you choose to make them your priority; I'm not making any judgments here.)

If you have an active social life than you'll probably like having a roommate, but you can get unlucky and get a little wiener kid for a roommate. Either way it sounds like there is a lot more interaction and people around at the first one you listed. I lived in my uni's apts 2nd year and had much more space and it wasn't small and as packed with people as the dorms but the dorms are WAAY more fun.

You are going to a place where there a large segment of the organisation is all about meeting people. Social life is a big factor in college

You don't need to share a room to meet people. And I reckon girls prefer being taken back to a single room.

definately go for the party dorm
when i went off to college and took a tour i saw the suites which were isolated and u had 5 other roomates and it looked nice but u dont get to meet as many people
i ended up in the party dorm and it was definately worth it
so many HBs
just be friendly with your roomate and if you guys end up being close then he will leave the room when u need it and hope u will do the same for him
just go for the party dorm
its well worth it, but also keep on ur studies cuz it was very hard for me when there is always something social to do, i mean thats wut college is for right? lol
good luck
