i was wondering what makes a good opinion opener. i'm trying to create my own that are personalized to my own experiences and interests, but i'm looking for the things that makes an opinion opener failproof?

I've always found that if you ask something you actually want to know the result of and isn't made up you will find it easier to talk about.

That said the greatest opinion opener I have ever used was in selfridges in the kids books section. I walked up to two women and asked them which was best for character progression and held a good moral message, hungry caterpillar or fluffy bear (or some shit). It worked a charm

so yeah make it funny and something which can't be answered easily.

as previously stated on other posts on here, iv been in the game of pua the whole 3 days now, and by no means class myself as the finished article just yet, but in these 3 days i havnt messed around, iv been out on the field creating and maintaining sets of 3-4 and isolated my targets...
3 days 3 numbers isnt 2 bad of a ration now isit, but on each attempt iv used the same opening line

me) excuse me, girls, me and my friend was having a debate, and i need a womens opinion on something...
hb's) ok...
me) what's better, a dog, or a cat
hb's) etc etc (whatever my target says i say "dog... are u sure ")

and bang, opener done, but as iv said, only one iv used thus far, but from what iv seen, keep it short n sweet n really basic... say ur in a sweet shop... excuse me etc etc what shall i get my lil sister... a mars or a twix? dont over complicate things

I'm on my own here. I rarely use opinion openers but if I'm at a loss for words, I'll use one. I get my material from the newspaper or the news or discovery channel or anything else that is socially relevant. I don't care much for the "Who has more back hair, guys or girls?" stuff.
