Exactly, text messages and phone calls should be used if there is a change of plans, or to confirm dates, etc. But, if you must text, stop with all the smiley faces and LOLs. Keep your messages short and limited to a few words.

You should of said 'yeah, i have a few in mind'. We all know girls hate competition and want to be the center of the attention (even among their own friends)...ALWAYS play to this weakness.

This is definitely a friendly conversation, but it doesn't mean you can't work on her IL.
