My wing and I approached a 2 set tonight. His target loved him. I was dancing just outside of arm's reach, facing the set, waiting for my target to quit texting.
He was commenting her on a wristband she was wearing (she subcommunicated a fair amount of interest), but the obstacle took a small break from texting and waved him goodbye, then actually said goodbye when he ignored her and kept talking to her friend, who really didn't seemed to mind his presence. He's one of the coolest dudes I've met, but isn't physically the most sexy man. (Personality wise... if only I could put him in a chick's body.

)
The obstacle was acting totally superficial - or was in a really shitty mood or something.
Shit happens sometimes, and it really is out of your hands then.
EDIT: Relecting on that, I realized that ejecting from that set was the best thing that could've happened. We ejected, popped right into another set, had a blast, bounced, made out with our respective targets, danced, made out some more, had a blast.... (Logistics prevented an extraction, but it was a lot more fun than dealing with HB_ChipOnShoulder.)
