I object to Chief`s remark about it`s okay to lose your virginity. It`s the only bargaining tool you have. Once you eat from the fruit of knowledge and wisdom [lose your virginity] you are never the same again. You cannot go back to being innocent. A man like me would love to take your innocences away from you, its like a trophy. Its the most coveted trophy a man could want in his career as a mpua. In all honesty, hold onto your virginity as long as you can. And give it the man that you feel is worthy of your most prized possession. Whores are easy lays, its the virgins that we watch for.
There is so much wrong with this reply, I don't know where to begin. People with your attitude give this kind of stuff a bad name.
Calling a woman's virginity her "most prized possession" has to be one of the most demeaning things I've ever heard said about the opposite sex, and this is coming from a guy who used to read Dick Masterson's blog regularly. Referring to it as a "bargaining tool" is even worse. Bargaining for
what exactly?
Then there's this little gem: "Whores are easy lays, its the virgins we watch for." I assume by "whores" you really mean "sluts," since the majority of women in the world don't take money for sex; and since the context of your sentence implies that all women who are not virgins must be sluts, I can only assume you have yet to vet out your own inner demons and sexual hangups.
You want the truth? There is no "battle of the sexes," and there is no such thing as a slut. There are two types of women in the world: those who are sexually liberated and free of the bullshit inhibitions society insists they have, and those who are jealous of the first group and wish they could embrace their femininity that completely. But since doing so would mean searching themselves and eliminating their deeply-held sexual hangups (which takes effort), many opt to sit on the sidelines and lob nasty words like "slut" and "whore" at the very people they wish they could be like.
Pickup, when used properly, is not about "manipulating" your way into a woman's pants. It
should be about working toward a mutual goal. Most women
want to have sex with you, and
want you to succeed in seducing them. But they also want to make sure you're a worthwhile investment of time and energy, and that they won't feel like a slut afterward.
The aspiring PUA, then, is left with two options: pretend to be a worthwhile investment of time and energy, or actually
BE a worthwhile investment of time and energy. Most of the guys I have met here (and most people who are skilled at this art overall) have chosen the second path. This is why what we do here is known as self-improvement.
