So i met this girl in the elevator of my dorm building. She opened me and started talking to me, and as she got off the elevator i said "ill see you around" and she replied with a big smile and a "i hope so". i figured this was an IOI. Now, i talk to her almost everyday through texting and online, and she lives in the floor below me. I am having a difficult time closing the deal on her. Now, there also is another little problem. Her very large brother lives on my floor, so it would be an awkward if anything were to happen. Any tips/suggestions/comments?

First, I would be inclined to not care about the brother if I thought the girl was worth it.

Second. in all honesty you might have waited too long. Have you succeeded in increasing the level of tension since you've been talking to her, texting her, etc. How long as this been going on?

If the answer is no, and it's been going on for very long then there's a great chance you're in the "friend zone" already.

There are ways to overcome this if she's THAT important to you, but in my experience there's plenty more women where you could start from scratch and work your game.
