I'm interested in understanding the posts I've read here saying you should use bad punctuation. I want to know what lies behind their opinions because I love to learn.
Also, I'm the 'grammar nazi' not the people I am texting. I hate recieving texts with 'u', '4', 'l8r' etc., and occasionally call people out on it.
Much love.

I for one find that as people text me - male or female, they change their writing style accordingly, maybe they feel they give the impression of lesser intellect and have to raise their level in order to match mine, either way, I don't change.
I would rather have an SMS go on for 2 or 3 pages than change "you" to "u" or "later" to "l8r".

Or, in texts, when I'm running low on credit and I can squeeze the entire thing into one text if I economise.
