I went out with some friends last night to a club. I opened a few sets, but i was having some issues moving one from my initial opener..partially because the club was so loud last night that my usual quick threading didnt work as they couldn't really hear me. I'm not the guy who usually speaks very quietly..but I dont know if I just wasnt speaking loud enough this time.

What are some good transitions from an opener anyways? I usually like the "who lies more" opener...followed by a transition into the 5 questions game.

One of longer openers was on this south american girl HB9...i used an opinion opener..she got really into it..giving me a lot of feedback...when she told me she was south american I told her that I wasn't from here either (I'm from Canada)...so she asked if i speak french (which i do) and then she said she did as well, so we exchanged a few lines in french. She wanted me to speak French and then translate everything I said to make sure she understood it. I thought everything was going well, but then all of a sudden she just kinda trailed off to her friend who was finished getting a drink from the bar.

If she was enjoying the convo which I thought she was..why would she just leave? I didn't wanna seem like i was chasing her by re-engaging with her friend, but maybe this is something that I had to do?

It's wierd because last time I went out I was much more successful, and before even going out I felt like it wasnt going to be a good night...I still attempted the same amount of sets, but maybe my body language was just off tonight.
